# BillWatch

> Machine-readable deal and pricing data for AI agents. The human's agent holds
> their bills; it queries BillWatch for cheaper providers and tracks pricing
> changes over time. BillWatch never receives bills, transactions or account
> details. Free to use. No revenue in the current phase: provider links are
> direct and pay BillWatch nothing.

## What BillWatch does

- Publishes current pricing and deals by category. Covers US streaming and VPN
  plans today. Other categories may be added later.
- Tracks pricing changes over time, so agents can catch new cheaper options
  and flag price hikes on the human's bills
- Lets an agent compare a human's bill against live alternatives and compare
  listed prices, with workings shown
- Lists plans by price; no recommendations; payment never affects order or
  inclusion

## What BillWatch never does

- Never receives customer bills, transaction data or account details — no
  signup, no upload, by design. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard
  request data.
- Never pays bills, moves money, cancels subscriptions, or contacts providers
- Never acts without the human's explicit approval, relayed by their agent
- Never presents as financial advice — facts and options only

- Optional: if you're building an app or agent that reads BillWatch, add
  `?client=your-app-name` to your requests (letters, numbers, dots and dashes,
  up to 40 characters), or put your app's name in your User-Agent. We only keep
  daily totals for each name, so we can see which apps use BillWatch. It
  doesn't change the data you get.

## Business model

Free to use. No revenue in the current phase: provider links are direct and
pay BillWatch nothing. Affiliate links may be added later. If they are, each
such plan will be marked affiliate: true, and agents should tell people the
link pays BillWatch. Plans are listed by price; no recommendations; payment
never affects order or inclusion.

## Status

Live. Deal data is real checked pricing with sources and check dates:
`verified: true` means the price was confirmed on the provider's official page
within its freshness window; `false` means it is stale, discontinued or not
yet confirmed there. BillWatch never
receives bills, transactions or account details.
